About Fatherman

Fatherman is a nickname lovingly bestowed upon him by his child's friends. He received that because for the last 11 years he has loved not only his LGBTQIA+ child, but others in his child's life who did not have accepting and affirming parents.

But Fatherman is more than that. It is a mission to help create understanding, love, affirmation, and acceptance and a call to action for the measure of a man to include character that loves those on the margins and behaves kindly, but will fight for what is right and good and kind.

Pat Green (Fatherman) wears many hats. At his core, he is a father. Not just to his adult child, but to other LGBTQIA+ young adults that do not have a dad. He is also an activist fighting for what is right and putting his money where his mouth is.  Pat is also a freelance photojournalist and columnist in good standing with the National Press Photographers Association. He is also an artist in the Chicago area with works having appeared in several galleries and art shows in the Chicago Area since 2014. Pat's artistic work is in private collections across the US, Canada, the UK, France and Ireland.

Pat's previous artistic affiliations have included The Lockport Artist Guild, ArtBar, and served as an Ambassador to the international RAW Underground Artist Community.

In 2015 Pat's first novel, "Night Moves: An Ex Preachers Journey to Hell in a Taxi" released with critical and reader acclaim.

When not doing all of that, Pat is hanging with his adult child, reading a comic book, living in the 80’s, or watching Film Noir movies.

Pat lives in Chicagoland.
